I have an iPod that stays permanently connected to my y-cable (3.5mm jack and USB). So very little plugging in or unplugging during the life of X5 so far.
For the last 2 months, the 3.5mm jack has become problematic. When I go over a bump, it loses its good connection and I just get sound out of the rear speakers or no sound at all. With some jiggling, it all works again (until the next bump).
I've tried taping the 3.5mm input jack in place to prevent movement but even that does not work for long.
I'm going to see if I can find a 3.5mm to 3.5mm adaptor so I can try plugging another jack into the actual socket.
Anyone have any other ideas? I'm trying to think of a way that I can make the input jack "fatter"...
Thanks
