Have you noticed this guys: When I start in early cold morning, the steering wheel is very easy to turn. When engine becomes hotter; steering wheel becomes tighter. Any idea?

Nezarnauimat, didn't you just recently replace your steering universal joint, with a used one? Once the engine heats that bad boy up, I bet it is expanding, and causing the binding effect you had before.

Maybe you need a new steering joint? or grease that bad boy up with some heavy duty teflon grease!

SlickGT1 & Ricky Bobby: Temperature is not the reason.
Let me explain why, I've noticed this, when the rpm is high (more than the normal 600 -700), then steering becomes so easy. For example, when I'm parking between two cars, I put the gear to N and press fuel pedal a little, it turns very smoothly, then I engage D or R and continue drive. Guys is this a weak hydraulic pump or a clogged filter? |

Go with a new reservor. Figure it this way, if you go with a new pump, you will need to replace filter and new fluid. So change the reservor (filter is inside), and flush the system.

Just replaced the faulty steering pump (120 bar) with a new one (130 bar). Now it's really smooth & my 5-yrs daughter can turn it. Thanks guys.
