quick in stall wiring question E53 non -dsp
Where are you guys tapping in for the power on 12v to turn the stereo? I would just leave the red and yellow hooked to gether but i this stereo does not seem to fully shut down with blue tooth connected. It will shut down but then when i go check a lil while later its on again and says some can not connect . Who knows I just need to find the 12v power on connection thanks |

I believe you have to move the red wire to the correct position in the adapter harness. Get a text light. Im pretty sure there is an ignition connection at the CD player harness. If not, go to the ign switch.

I used wire from the fuse box in the glove box. There is just enough room to get a wire, inline fuse and tap into an empty slot. That is actually where I got my constant power too...

i still have not fixed this problem as im too lazy/busy to trace the wire out. i was just gonna put a switch in but i would rather the actual function to just work. I know you guys have installed many aftermarket stereos so which wire in the harness is the correct one so i can turn the truck off and it turns the stereo off.
