Replace the hoses, do not use an additive to attempt to seal any leak. The job is pretty straight forward. Since the system will drain when you replace the leaking hose I would replace the other hoses while you are at it. When you refill the system, fill the reservoir and then start the engine and turn the wheel lock to lock a few times. Then shut it off and add more fluid. Do that until the reservoir stays at the full mark and all the air is out of the system. Make sure you use the BMW power steering fluid or a fluid with the same specifications. Determine if your power steering system uses ATF or CHF11s. I was lucky and mine uses ATF so Dexron III is the recommended ATF for my system. If you're going through all that work might as well replace the reservoir since there is a filter in it. Hose are fairly cheap, and you can buy the original hose clamps or just use worm gear hose clamps.

The cap on the Reservoir will tell you what fluid to use, however, I brought a new reservoir and the cap on it said CHF11s, but my old cap said ATF. I used the old cap that said ATF so it won't confuse anyone as to which fluid to use.
