Final stage blower

I have a 2002 X5 , and my battery keeps dying and will not start in the morning, I had a new AAA battery put in and they also had to replace it with a new one within the last month, and it also shorted out my transmission control module which I had to replace, we could not figure out what kept draining it. The dealer just told me it was the Final stage blower that keeps draining the battery, they want $706.00 to replace .. Any suggestions ??

I think you could do that yourself. There were many threads in the last 2 weeks or so about the FSR. I think 706 is too much for that.

Final Stage is about $127.00 BMW part. I would check your battery and the alternator.

I bought a new battery from AAA , and they have had to replace it once, and I also had to put a new alternator in about 3 months ago, so hopefully when I get this Final stage blower in I should be good, but your right may have to replace battery again and make sure that it is reprogrammed correctly. AAA never did that when they first put it in.

Make sure you buy the original part, or at least a good OEM brand, Made in Germany. The original part is made by Siemens. You might find some made by Behr. If it's made in Germany it's OK. If it's made in China it can fail quickly again. Don't skimp on it.
