Tire Sizes for Style 63 Rims

Bought a used set and had the tires chucked off before I realized they were staggered.

IIRC, the rear was a 255/55/R19 but have no clue what the fronts were.
Need to go out and put tires on the now freshly powdercoated in Raven Black rims.

Can someone give me the stock size tires that go on these rims and also alternative sizes?

How do these look on the X5 with regards to offset?
Wondering if spacers would place the wheels more sharply.

Cheers
Bernie

Style63 are staggered 19"x9" fronts and 19"x10" rears.
Correct tires: 255/50/19 front, 285/45/19 rear

Should have lots of images on Google.
Search "DTMdan" posts, he used to have them on his black X5, IIRC.

Awesome,

Appreciate the info.
Was searching the net for sizes but everyone seems to swap the tires out so I couldn't find a common sizing.

Just an FYI,

255/50/19 and 285/45/19 do not leave many tire options (they are not popular sizes)

Assuming you don't need snow capabilities because you live in Vegas, the Atturo AZ800 is an affordable tire in those sizes with all season ratings, but once you start looking into Bridgestones, Michelins, etc, in those sizes, the tires will be decently expensive.

Style 63's are one of my favorites, they look great on facelift vehicles and i'm sure they look awesome freshly powdercoated. Pics when you get them on!

Willdo on the pics for sure.

Are there slightly different sizes that are more common?
I would go a little wider or narrower to save some money as long as it does't adversely affect the handling and driving comfort.

Yes, we are in Vegas so summer / rain is all we deal with and very little of the latter......lol

If you have the staggered 19s, stay with the stock sizes. It's just the nature of having that size wheel on the E53, the sizes used in the staggered 20s are more common but i'm sure you will find a tire that makes you happy for the 19s, you won't save much money venturing far from the stock sizes anyway, they are still 19" tires.

I just did the searching for you, you have 14 choices on Tire Rack, surely one set will suit you:

Since you don't have a signature that includes any model/model year/build date info...I don't know if the info is in your owners manual or not...but this info is in the 2004-up owners manual...as well as on the tire pressure chart on the driver's door on all my BMWs.

As far as alternative tire sizes that aren't recommended by BMW...you can google a tire size calculator that can help you find an alternate size that keeps you within the correct specs for your wheel size & correct tire diameter/circumference. For instance, I chose an alternate winter tire size for my 06 X5...I went with 235/60/18 snow tires instead of the 255/55/18 tires listed on the BMW chart.

See example below from 06 owners manual...BMW lists the recommended tire sizes for the e53:
