SIA: 4095

So, I changed my oil today. Nice easy operation - except for the small puddle I can never avoid - usually when transferring the old oil to containers. I wish I had a lift and a catch can...

But anyway, during the service light reset, it displayed 4095. I imagine this is the gallons of fuel until next reset. But at 16 MPG gestimate - mostly highway - that comes to 24570 miles.

Doesn't that seem excessive? Do you all get the same gallon(?) count?

Edit:
Sorry, my calculator went wonky...The mileage is obviously much higher...

So, 4095 is not gallons of fuel? Any idea what else it could be?

You might have made it go metric and it's saying liters?

Thanks for the suggestion.... I'll look tomorrow.\\Edit... Just ran the calc... You are probably right. The figure is probably liters - not gallons.

Don't feel bad... I somehow switched mine to Fahrenheit instead of Celsius without meaning to

Regardless if you have Fahrenheit/Celsius or miles/kilometers or gallons/liters as your measurement scale...most of the "behind the scenes" stuff when you access the secret displays and data info...are metric & Celsius.

The information from the SIA reset that you get when it's done successfully is in liters (kilometers if you have a 3 series).

See the 1st paragraph under Additional Info below about "distance display when resetting":
