Headrest monitor help

I was reading this thread on the monitor installs diy headrest dvd players installation sony ebay ones and it says to tap into the red/black cable in the center console for power, and the brown cable for ground. I don't see a red/black cable. All I see is a Red/Yellow. Is that the same one? It appears to the be the two cables that are running into the rear cigarette lighter.

The cigarets lighter is constant power and you don't want to tap it there
Run the wire to the ignition ( pink/white) so it on with the key.

i think that both the lighter outlets turn on and off with the key .The off is delayed for approx. 16 minutes though

I was under the impression it went off as well, and from the DIY he tapped it into the cigarette lighter under the console. I don't want to take shit apart to go ahead and reroute the cables under the dash (that is a bitch).

SO far this is what it looks like. It is uncanny how OEM the headrests look in the car. The leather really goes with the interior.

the cig lighters stay on ALL the times (all 5 of them) as they are wired directly to the battery (via series of fuses).
If you are looking for a relay k72 (wake-on-LAN type, goes to sleep after 16 minutes) power, you can tap to it under the driver's seat, as the same wire under the passenger seat (LHD) is always hot, and does not go to sleep.

most headrest monitors only need power to them and they do not use too much - I still wired mine directly to the battery via a relay that is controlled by the "sleep" signal... This way, if any of the aftermarket things in the car start "drinking" too much juice when the car is off, the relay will cut off the power supply...

you can see some of the wiring in my thread that i linked in my signature...
