But this one is something I haven't heard of yet! Some background, earlier this year I had my window control unit (the switch module) on the driver's door replaced, because the driver's side window was stuck down. I've had zero window problems since then.
Today, I get in the car and try to roll the passenger windows down for some air. Nothing. None of the windows go down. Then I try the driver's window again, but push the switch down all the way so it engages the "auto down" / one-touch feature. It goes down a bit, as if I had only pushed the switch half way. All four are doing this.
I would guess that the driver's window switch unit has gone bad already, but it's not just that unit. All four window switches have SOME functionality, but they all four show different behavior. Some, both positions of the "down" switch work, and only half of the "up" switch works. Some, vice-versa. One has no auto up / down functionality at all.
No problems with locks, tailgate, lights, alarm, or anything else like that.
What controls the windows? I read the GM does for the rear, and PM-FT/PM-BT does for the front, but this is happening in all windows.
What interprets whether or not the switch is pressed all the way down ("auto down")?
