Airbag light BMW Scanner 1.4

I am trying to reset the airbag light. I tried INPA with a cable I purchased off ebay but somewhere along the complicated (for me) installation process I must be doing something wrong. Can anyone confirm that P.A. Soft BMW Scanner 1.4 with the following cable will allow me to reset the light?

Yes, you can reset airbag lights with Scanner 1.4.

Just an FYI since you didn't mention anything about a fix or repair. The light will not reset (basically will re-illuminate) if the sensor that originally set the fault is still in the same state.

Resetting the light is not a "fix"... fixing the fault is the "fix", then you reset the light.

You can also code various airbags and sensors (on or off) with BMW Scanner 1.4.

Thanks so much for the information everyone. I just want to try resetting it and if it comes back on, then I know I actually have a problem in which case I'll fix it.

Before clearing the code you can read the code and determine if you really do have a problem. Lights don't come on for no reasons, not unless you disconnected an airbag with the key on.

BMW Scanner 1.4 will give you fault codes if there is a problem.
