Rims rims rims

I have an 01 BMW x5 with 22" style 215 rims, how can I tell if they are original? I want to sell them and buy oem style 215 cause those ones are bad ass and are really wide which I like considering my e53 has aero body kit it would look nice. I've seen a guy in my city with a matte black e53 with style 215s but his tims are way wider then mine or if I could find wider 215 replicas I think I could settle, Any help!! Thanks!

OE Style 215s came in 21" wheel size...they may be 'original replicas', but they are not Original Equipment.

Sounds like your 22's are 8-9" wide. I posted a link below for reps which are 20" x 10-1/2" rear and 8-1/2" up front. The rear would run a 315 which is plenty wide. These reps run around $800.00 as most do. You will spend 3-4k for new oem wheels.

BMW doesn't have a 22" wheel in any style AFAIK. They are replicas.
