Oversensitive ESP?

I've been noticing more and more that when i hit speed humps a little too hard the ESP indicator lights up like a Xmas tree once over the other side. This turns power off momentarily, anybody else experiencing this ?:dunno:

Update - I've found if I ease off the brakes completely before hitting the speed bump and "free ride" over it (i.e.no brakes usage) the problem goes away .... she's a sensitive old girl this X5 - I've also noticed that sometimes when I gun it away from lights and there's a few potholes the ESP picks them up and lights up the ESP accordingly - this means a slight millisecond power cut - suppose its all just doing its job ..

You should do this anyway. With the brakes applied the front suspension is compressed so it is less able to deal with any bumps and transmits greater shock loads into the rest of the vehicle.
