Just bought a 07 E70 3.0si Executive with 7000 km on clock. Black with black leather. It is no different to new and very happy with the savings.

Currently adding on the Sport Pack features. I already ordered the Titanium grill and extended wheel arches. Also looking for a set if style 214 20" wheels. Anyone knows where u can find it?

I will be selling the style 213 19" alloys with Continental run flat tyres.

Congratulations. An '07 with just 7000km? It must have spent a lot of time doing nothing! Note that the Sport option ex-factory also added firmer suspension.

Abyss 02-07-2011 11:59 PM

Thanks mate.

Is the sport suspension lower than the normal suspension?

Fraser 02-08-2011 12:06 AM

No, Sport just had firmer springs and damping. Same ride height.

Welcome! I'm new here too..

I'm unsure why they put RFT's on the E70's? what is under the floor instead of a spare if I may ask?

Nice score on that 7000 km's is like buying a dealer demo... let alone 3~ years later.. very well done!

Australian-delivered E70s either came with third-row seating or a space-saver spare under the rear floor.

I've got the space saver so no point to have rft. Yeah I was lucky to find this extreme low ks car from BMW dealer that comes with another year warranty & service.

Really want to get the style214 20" wheels at the moment.

welcome to the forums! glad to see another fellow melbournian in here! :)

I'm sure you'll enjoy your car very much!

As Fraser pointed out, the e70 came with either the 3rd row of seat or space saver.

Once my warranty runs out I'll be changing to normal tyres for sure. I have seen a few sets of replica 20" 214's going around on ebay, but besides that people in Australia and specifically Melbourne don't exactly change wheels on x5's very often..so they are quite rare to see a second hand pair floating around..

good luck with the hunt!

Bren, do u have 20" runflat? What is the ride like?

bren3085 02-10-2011 07:05 PM

Yeah I currently still have the 20" RFT that came with the car. I also paid an extra $800 to cover tyre insurance $0 excess for 3 years..so I can pretty much say i'll be on this setup till the insurance runs out.

The ride is quite firm..it doesnt make you want to run over speed humps in a hurry is all I can say..

I have another friend with an e70 x5 with 18" wheels and the difference in ride comfort is night and day... Once the tyre insurance runs out and I need to replace tyres i'm considering downgrading wheels just because of the price of tyres are ridiculous on 315/40/20 tyres.. most quotes on same tyres I have gotten ball park around the 4k for tyres all round..
