New X5 M 50d
 

Just put my name down for one of the new X5 M50d with the 3 turbo's coming.

My current X5 M40d has just down 65k, had to put a new set of tyes one last month.

No delievery date but they confirmed the press release the dealer got saying its coming. Most likely April or May production as this seems the month that changes occur on the assembly line as does Sept each year.

Any reason (other than fuel consumption) you went this route over an X5 M?

The X5M has a 6 speed gearbox and you cannot get some of the options on it either. I told the dealer I would buy one if they supplied the petrol for 2 years.

Insurance is higher and in 2 years who would buy it, the new 50d has well over 700nm of torque with a 8 speed, that will do me

Lot's of valid points though (re-sale, insurance, transmission & torque)... I guess I'll wait and see how you go with it!
