E70 Wheel alignment - parramatta area
 

Hi
Anyone knows non BMW dealer who knows what they're doing when asked for a wheel alignment for an E70? BMW charges $400 for a four wheel alignment in sydney. I gave to a normal tyre shop for $88 , they have ruined the alignments. Please help if anyone knows someone who can do a proper wheel alignment for e70 in parramatta area.:(

We did wheel alignments for our E70 at East Coast Suspension in Taren Point recently, they specialise in racing cars, BMWs, Ferraris, Porsche etc

Alternatively you could try Heasman Steering at Sydneham or Spinning Wheel Tyres at Waterloo, heard good review about them.

I highly recommend Spinning Wheels @ Waterloo. They do a thorough and professional job. I take all my cars there.

Make sure you ask for Stuart to do the alignment when you book it. Stuart will even ask what type of driving you do and/or what you'd like to get from the vehicle and he'll align it to that (ie. factory standard, better handling or improved fuel economy or tyre wear etc).

Oh really? I thought they have pretty good reputations!

Make sure your steering wheel is straight, otherwise you will get DSC & 4x4 Malfunctions as the steering angle sensor will throw the fault.

If u're interested to know how to check your alignment at home, all u need is a flat ground (or make some calibration with the spirit level)' a spirit level, two long strings longer than the length of the vehicle, vernier caliper or a measuring tape and some googling. This is the method used before lasers came along. You can achieve accurate results if u had some patience. You rear toe and camber should be identical on both rear wheel(according to specs), Your front wheels needs to be parallel and steering straight. Once you know your rear wheels are correct, you can correct your front wheels with reference to the rear wheels.
