Coding in Vic

Hi all

Can someone in Vic (Melb) help me with the coding? Also has anyone done the transmission software update on the E53?

Thanks

Happy to help out as I've recently moved down to Melbourne.

Not sure about transmission software update though.

Have done the trans firmware update:
1) It takes a long time (about an hour from memory), therefore,
2) Make sure you have a high-current charger attached for the duration unless you want to be introduced to the transmission fail safe mode. I use a 21AMP charger without issue.

Is there a particular problem you are trying to solve with the transmission?

If you would prefer for an independent to do the work, I can recommend Northern BM.

What do you want coded?

Cheers

The usual harsh down shift, i've had the transmission fluid replaced but i don't think the workshop did the software upgrade.
Also little things like when i press unlock on the remote, the indicator lights don't flash.

Thank you

Updating the firmware does seem to have improved the downshift issue for me, but it still occurs, even if less frequently. Resetting the adaptations also seems to help.

I believe the flash-on-unlock behaviour is only available if you have the integrated alarm.

I see. Thanks.
