I couldn't agree with you more. Had these not worked out I was going to just get a pair of OEM replacements. I simply don't trust the quality of the generic eBay units. The mars lights are pretty big with the 3 series crowd, a few friends here had them without incident. I'm just tired of the burnt socket/holder problem the factory lights suffer from.

Danielsan, just one more quick question: looking at the lights. Are there any dot/sae markings &/or numbers on the lens anywhere?

There is SAE markings on the lamp but the camera wont pick them up.
