Australian Nav Maps V19 2013
Hi Guys, in case anyone is wondering...
The maps from the Whereis Site for the VDO/Dayton Carin Nav work just fine with our Mk3/4 BMW Navigation Computers. This makes the latest maps $199! Certainly a bit better than the expensive dealer costs :) Whereis® | Buy Sat Nav Map Updates | VDO Dayton - Sensis |
The exact same map is available for free download at GPSunderground
Australia BMW High Map v19.1 2013 Version - Whereis Unbranded Version I have loaded it and it works with no issues. |
ha of course it is :) only a few days after i bought mine...lol
in the words of miss allanis morrisett 'isnt it ironic' |
Yes it is a very comprehensive map for us Aussies.
Lots of POI loaded with the Dayton version. As yet, i am not aware if it is possible to have Speed Camera alerts set up for our E53 MarkIV vehicles??? I know in some GPS systems, you can load them into a POI folder, then select that POI in the menu. If anyone has a solution or answer for Speed Camera alerts for the E53, please share. As yet, i haven't found out how to do it :) |
I have just loaded it and yes, it works without a problem. Had v16 before this. Do we know what the differences are? Just more POI/roads (obviously)??

Yes that sums it up Pannal...
And yes salty dog, I cant find a way to make the Speed Camera POIs work either... clearly BMW do something to their discs to make them work.... How much is a genuine disc from BMW? |

I must admit I am not very computer literate so does anybody have any ideas where I may be going wrong ? |
I experienced the same problem when I burnt it on a piece of CD-R media that was very old. I re burnt another copy on a fresh blank CD-R media from a different manufacturer and it worked perfectly.
Perhaps try another piece of (new) media? |
Hi
Will these maps work on the Dynavin units? Cheers |
