BMW Wreckers

Does anyone recommend a BMW wreckers in Sydney or possibly outside of Sydney?

I'd looking to source and cost doing the angel eye upgrade, if possible, by fitting the later year model head light unit. Does anyone know if that will work?

I have a 2003 X5 which only has the twin halogen headlight set up.

Have a look on gumtree, saw an add for 2, from memory, people wrecking x5's.

you might be best looking at the aftermarket headlights off eBay. From memory the facelift headlights will not fit your model. eBay models have the angel eye upgrades and in some cases are brighter than the oem facelift.

from reading the forums the 'depo' brand of angel eyes comes recommend but I'm not keen on the price. Was hopeing there is a cheaper alternative of the same quality.

Thanks for the heads up on the facelift version not fiting

the thing is the quality of the aftermarket version is comparable to the oem headlight. I have the facelift model and the plastics on my headlight is rubbish. I have had to use the headlight restoration kit on it already and it still looks blurry. Xenon lights will do that to the plastics apparently.

Has the blurry impacted the brightness and or penetration of the light? (e.g. is the distance the light beam projects from the car still the same?

yes, it had affected the light until i applied the headlight kit

It happens to all acrylic headlights ,doesnt matter what brand of car or what headlights they use.

While on the same topic, anyone have a LEFT hand front xenon headlight of E53 that they want to get rid of? :)
