battery going flat after washing
 

Question

What would be the reason behind my 2010 X5 35d battery going flat after washing, the ignition is off and the car is lock, I am able to wash and dry the car and then move it but when it comes time to leave later in the day the battery is completely dead

Any thoughts on what could be causing it ? :dunno::dunno:

Had a 2010 35d (just updated to a 2014 f15 40d in March) Had two batteries in 4 years. Listen next to the bonnet when you turn the car off, there's plenty happening. This continues for some time. Every time you open a door (any door) the car activates ready to start. So when you clean the car and open and close doors it just puts constant load on the battery. Only solution is to put a charger on it. When I drove short distances over a week the battery ran down so I was in the habit of charging the battery every couple of days. New model totally different situation.
