I'm not 100% sure, but I think the VR modules are language specific.

Yes they are.

Take a look on http://www.realoem.com

For your vehicle, look under communications > and retrofits. All the seperate voice modules are listen their with specific languages.

Bluetooth - Voice Recognition System

Adrian,
Recently I have bougth the Universal Bluetooth Hands-Free-Kit form Martin Bishop & he has told me following - "The Bluetooth system will have multi language voice recognition and should program to the language that your car is coded to. If it does not, you can easily have the car coded at the dealer to enable voice recognition in English with the Bluetooth system."

I haven't installed these BT Kit (awaiting for Mini UHF cable with male and female connectors). And not sure :tsk: if VR System will work in English.
By the way how I can Coded Car? :tsk:

Thanks,
BMW110...

Yes, my Bluetooth ULF (from Martin) is in Spanish Languaje.
The ULF has several languajes inside, ans works the one the car is coded to.

This is totally different from a VR module that is languaje specific... but i think it has more vocabulary.. (don´t know).

The car is coded only at the dealer who has DIS. (a BMW specific computer)

Yes, Martin is correct. The ULF modules do include voice commands built in, and the language can be changed by coding (which can only be performed by the dealer). My note was on the seperate voice command modules, which are language specific.

Cheers, Adrian
