Give us details about your car and your bluetooth system and we can help support you. There are two Bluetooth systems. The Visteon ULF module and the Motorola TCU. The ULF is voice recognition/Bluetooth. the TCU is assist/Bluetooth.

Each are different in the way they pair. Tell us how your car is equipped and I will be happy to help.

it's MY03, 4.6is, Sat-nav MK IV w/ 16:9 display

one thing that I noticed, when SE T630 is in the snap-in, there no charging shown on mobile display so I wonder if my car has Bluetooth installed!

can I check on the sat-nav if the phone module is installed?

cheers,
Tony

If you do not have Bluetooth, it is a simple install and you can verify easily. You mentioned having a phone cradle, is that something you put in? I have not seen a phone cradle without bluetooth. What I would suggest is to quickly look at how your car is equipped. You can look over these pictures and see where the Bluetooth module is located http://www.bimmernav.com/BMW_X5_Blue...tructions.html

Let us know what you have and we will be happy to help.

One way to test if you have a ULF module would be to press and hold the picture of a face on the steering wheel. If you get a message that says "please turn on the phone" you have bluetooth without any phones paired.

Martin

the cradle was pre-mounted, I just bought the snap-in to fit my phone,
and I will try that thing with the button!
