Treo 650 and caller ID on MID display
After being able to transfer my phonebook to the ULF, I now realize that incoming calls display as the phone number in long distance format i.e. 14165551212 as opposed to how they are stored in the phonebook as simply 4165551212. As a result, the caller's name never matches up to the entry. Now I don't know who's calling (for some strange reason I can't remember the 600 numbers I have in the Treo and who they match up to!!!). I have played with the dialing preferences on the phone to no avail. This worked great with my V635 so it must be with the phone. Any thoughts out there?

Well, I didn't transfer the address book manually....In fact, my "favorites" on the speed dial list under the Phone app is what got transferred to the ULF and those name/number is what shows up when someone calls, otherwise, if it is not on my speed dial, then just a generic phone number shows up.

but how about SMS anyone??? how did you pair your treo normally ( adding a device) or with the specific command for car kit ( the one with the yellow car in the menu!) ciao thankx |
I paired it up with my Treo 750P. It didn't work right, little things...wouldn't display the address book...when someone called it came up the person above them in my addy list, and it would disconnect often.
Went back to my dealership and they showed me a list of "approved" compatible phones, Treo not on the list. Replaced it with a Motorola Q....no problems with it at all! |
