Motorola Q bluetooth
 

Anyone using Q in their 2006 X5? Is it fully supported?

Saw a review in todays NY Times, it was less than great.

Think the 700W is still the top PDA phone.

Just got a Q, will be trying it in the X5 this weekend...

I'm torn between the Q and the 700p

Since I don't really use my PDA to edit docs, I don't think the Q software will bug me nearly as much as it bugged the reviewer. That being said, my Office Manager has a Treo 700p which is turning out to be a pretty cool device - without any of the Q's shortcomings.

I'm waiting to see if the Q's implementation of bluetooth will work in the X5. If it doesn't, I'm getting the 700p. If it does... well, I might stay on the fence for a while.

My 700W now works well with the BMW bluetooth.

It still won't load phone book, but it links well.

I think the Q will also work since its Windows based.

Tried the Q this weekend and it worked very well. Better than the Treo 700W and BlackBerry 7130 I tried before. All features worked, including the address book load. FYI: I have a 2005 X5 3.0.

Are you syncing it with a PIM?
 

If so, are you using Wireless Sync?

I sync it to my work email through our corporate email system. I don't use the Verizon wireless sync app that comes with the phone.

That is the only downside. The address book isn't very usable in the X5 because I have a few hundred people in my Outlook address book at work.
