Call Volume
Anyone know how to de-activate the variable volume feature? The call volume gets TOO LOUD at higher speeds and TOO SOFT when I slow down or stop. In other words, the variable feature is overcompensating. I would rather just adjust the call volume manually. So I'd like to turn this feature OFF if possible.
I've got a 2005 X5 (Motorola bluetooth module) without NAV if that helps. |
I think it is a dealer-only setting.
Interesting, though. Mine is usually pretty good. I will occasionally have to turn it up or down during a call, but that is usually to compensate for outside noise or whatever. |
You might want to change the Speed sensitive volume control for the radio following the procedue described here. YOu need to get into the service mode for the radio and adjust the GAL setting. This will certainly effect the radio/cd/sirius volume based on speed. It may effect the telephone volume, based on speed ... I'm not 100% sure.

My call volume doesn't go as loud as I'd like. Can it be turned up? I noticed in the manual there's a VOLUME command, but it doesn't seem to do anything.
