Nokia 8800 Sirocco
 

Just received my new Nokia 8800 Sirocco and tested with the bluetooth in the X5. So far so good, I can receive and make calls with no problem. Need to use the phone in the car for a while before I can say for sure it is 100%

Firmware version 3.51 . Dated 28-07-06

I am glad you got your phone working I know you wanted this to work for ages shame you had to get the later version of the 8800 to get it to work.

And what you can say about phonebook transfer in to ULF??

Phonebook transfer happen almost instantly. I need to check more. I am very pleased with it so far. Because I have numbers on both SIM and PHONE I need to check if all is displayed on the screen of the SATNAV. I'm fairly condifent it is OK.

BTW 8800 original phone firmware is now at 4.1

I will check this one agin when it comes back from Nokia today to see if it will work in the X5. I'll keep you posted.

Firmware 4.1 of Original 8800 works better however is not able to make or receive calls. Phonebook now uploads with sms's. Nokia is still a little way from fixing this one.

As for the Sirocco, this is working well and I believe the phonebook is ok. A snap-in adaptor would be nice. Wonder how long before BMW do this.

SMS does not display on screen (new or old messages) Phonebook is ok so far. Maybe the next firmware upgrade may fix this.
