Where to get vehicle coded?

After installing the bluetooth kit from advanced autovations, I still need to get the vehicle coded. I asked to local dealers, Herb Chamber and BMW of Peabody. Herb Chamber wanted 230 for the job and could not gurantee they would do the job and BMW of Peabody would not even try. Are there any places that will help me code the vehicle around Boston, thanks.

Tulley in Nashua, NH, often has lower prices than Herb Chambers/Peabody, or so I hear... It's worth a try. Also, if you're willing to make the drive, Concord Motorsport in Chichester, NH, might be able to do it. Not sure if they've got the equipment, but they'd probably do it for less.

They shouldn't charge you any more than an hour labor, which should be around $100

what exactly has to be done in the coding. I have a 2005 325 that I ordered without assist. I didnt know bluetooth was a feature in assist! So I purchased the new -119 module same as the -993 and went today to code it. Well since I dont have the assist mirror the computer shows a fault. Can someone tell me a way around this?

Kewl X5 may be able to help here, as he added the combo Assist/BT module to his 2004 M3 that didn't have Assist. You may also want to review this TSB - http://www.bmwmotorsports.org/pdf/841304.pdf

Hmmm.....I wonder if having the -993 vs. the newer -119 would make a difference. I sent you a PM.

BTW, I also ordered my 2004 M3 withOUT BMW Assist because of the Bluetooth situation (plus, I didn't want the square rear view mirror with SOS button....wanted the original M3 oval rear view mirror).
