ULF or TCU?

Is there a difference between a bluetooth TCU or a ULF? I can't find the part number in the eas list of the different ulf generations. This TCU's part number is 84 11 6 946 993. I'm thinking its for assist only maybe but any info on this would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Yes. The ULF is a bluetooth only module. The TCU from 2005 onwards, are Assist with Bluetooth combo modules.

THe TCU part # you refer to 84 11 6 946 993 is a Assist/Bluetooth combo unit. This was the first generation, which did not include voice recognition functionality.
