Cingular BlackJack
Hey everyone,
Cingular is launching a new PDA/Phone. Here's the info: http://www.geekzone.co.nz/content.asp?contentid=6827 How can we find out if it's gonna be BMW-compatible? Jose |
I'm wondering about this one as well. It's a Windows Mobile Smartphone, and it seems that most have had pretty good results with Windows Mobile phones and the BMW bluetooth system. But I guess there's no way to know for sure until someone tries it.
|
Do you know if the Blackjack uses the regular Microsoft Bluetooth stack or did Samsung use their own?
If it does use Microsoft's, then even if there are some compatibility issues, it should work with this: http://www.xoutpost.com/bluetooth/227...0-devices.html |
Has anyone tried this phone yet?
There's a guy over at howardforums.com who got it to work fine with an '06 550i with the iDrive system. He said everything works fine, except no phone book transfer. Does anyone know how close the 5-series iDrive system is to the 06' X5 Bluetooth/Assist package? Is it the same bluetooth module? |
I have a 10th gen ULF and this phone will pair up and send/receive calls but it will NOT sync the phone book.

Hey Ziuck, thanks for the update. BUMMER! I really wanted this phone...

try a manual phone book transfer.
Set car in pairing mode. press and hold pairing button with ignition off turn ignition to first position. then from the phone send the contacts. Martin |
