SES would not work after trying out the BT
Hello.
I was trying to connect a BT module (bought off ebay with no cable) to my '02 X5 4.6. Since I thought that my BT unit has VR, I removed the OEM VR unit and plugged in the SES jumper. The BT did not work (option for Telephone came on the Nav screen but nothing else happened). So, when I removed BT and reinstalled the original SES voice recognition module back, I can not get the VR to operate anymore - the voice button on the steering wheel simply does not invoke anything. Did I fry something? Or do I need dealer coding for the SES? I must admit, I am using the WDS wiring diagrams to build my own BT cable adapter from DB25 to 54-pin, so I might have done something bad... :( Any thoughts, help and assistance would be appreciated. |
