Bluetooth Problem
Hi, I wonder has anyone else had the same issue as me. I run a 2003 X5 with full comms pack, integrated blutooth phone and sat nav. The problem I have is that when making a call using hands free the volume of the phone will fade making it almost impossiblt to hear the person on the other end of the phone. Turning the volume up on wither the phone or the steering wheel makes no difference until all of a sudden the volume goes back to normal. This problem is intermitent and my local dealing is refusing to help telling me that my phone is incompatible despite it being on their compatability matrix.
I have tried a couple of phones and the problem persists (Nokia 6230i and Nokia 6310). Any thoughts? |

You could have a defective ULF module that is intermitent.

It is possibly the connection to the bluetooth antenna. Get the phone close to the back and see if it makes a difference. Volume is controlled by the phone, so it is hard to tell where the problem is. The latest ULF modules work really well, so I would imagine upgrading your 2003 version ULF module would make a difference.

Blutooth Problem
Hi Martin, I think you could be right but to upgrade will cost money when I will actually be happy to settle for a working replacement.
