Going from cars bluetooth to handset (m)

Here is what I want to do. (FYI - I have a Motorola V3 Razor).

I'm in the truck and a call comes in over the bluetooth. It's a personal call and I don't want everyone in the truck to hear my call. How do I switch to the hand-held phone. I thought just hit the send botton on the phone but that disconnects the call.

Thanks

when i what to speak on the hanset, i answer on the handset. i mean instead of pressing the answer button on the wheel, i press the answer button on the phone.
it works with SE T630, ericsson T39m
with nokia 6230i no matter where do i answer a call from, it goes to the car's speakers :-(

It has been a while since I had my RAZR, so my memory is fuzzy...

You switch using one of the dynamic menu buttons just below the screen. I think that you push the middle one (the menu key), but if it is not that one, then try the right soft key. From there, you should get a selection to switch to the handset or disconnect from the BT device. The problem with the RAZR is that once you switch from the BT device, it will not reconnect with your car until you cycle the ignition.

Thats what someone else told me. And you are correct, it's the center "menu" button on the phone. However when I do this, you can hear it transfer, but then it imediately connects back to the truck.

That is weird. Yours is behaving about the total opposite as mine did. It could be the difference in the firmware on the RAZR or your car's ULF. I did have the latest firmware on my T-Mobile RAZR at the time. I dumped the RAZR for Pearl, and life has been wonderful ever since.

Hey Brian-bmw what year X5 is yours. I am shopping for a new pda-phone. You seem to be happy with your Pearl.
My X5 is May 2005 made.
Any input appreciated.
Thanks
