HTC PDA's - fix for Phonebook Download

Having had several of these HTC (i-mate) PDA devices under the O2 XDA guise, I have always been annoyed that they won't fully integrate with the BMW ULF Bluetooth module - they will work OK for voice, but won't transfer the phonebook or SMS's.

However, found this utility whilst looking for something else - downloaded the 30 day trial and it works - These are the phones it supports:
  • HTC "Typhoon" SmartPhones
    • Audiovox SMT5600
    • Dopod 565
    • iMate SP3
    • Qtek 8010
    • Motorola MPX220
  • HTC "Wizard" Pocket PC phones
    • Cingular 8125
    • Dopod 838
    • iMate K-Jam
    • Qtek 9100
    • T-Mobile MDA Vario
    • O2 XDA Mini/s

    • Cingular 8525
    • iMate JasJam
    • Palm Treo 750W
    • Qtek 9600
    • T-Mobile MDA Vario II
  • HTC "Tornado/Faraday" SmartPhones
    • Cingular 2125
    • Dopod 586w
    • iMate SP5
    • iMate SP5m
    • Qtek 8300
    • Qtek 8310
    • T-Mobile SDA Music II
  • HTC "Universal"
    • Dopod 900
    • Qtek 9000
    • iMate JasJar
    • T-Mobile MDA Pro
  • HTC "Star Trek" SmartPhones
    • Cingular 3125
    • Dopod s300
    • iMate Smartflip
    • Qtek 8500
    • HTC MTeoR
    • Qtek 8600
    • HTC S620
    • Dopod C720W
    • T-Mobile Dash
  • Treo 700w (does not support voice dialing or in-band ringtones)
  • Verizon VX6700
  • HTC "Artemis"
    • XDA Orbit
    • T-Mobile MDA Compact III
and these it doesn't
  • HTC "Blue Angel" Pocket PC phones
  • XDA III
  • MDA III
  • Qtek 9090
  • Siemens SX-66
  • XDA II
  • Motorola Q
  • HP iPaq hw 6915, 6910, 6515, 6510

Just what I was looking for (in regards to the PPC-6700). I will try out the trial version on mine when I get the X5...and report back as to sucess.

Either way...thx for sharing the info!

I've had no problems

I have the HTC (cingular) 8525 and I've not had any problems with BT in my 06 X3.

I'm picking up my 07 today, it has Nav the 06 doesn't I'm hoping there are no BT problems with 07 and the 8525.

I recently bought an HTC S710 (VOX) and it workd awesome with a 3rd generation module.
Phonebook transfers, SMS as well.

It's using Windows Mobile 6 smartphone edition.

Somebody might find this post usefull if he is planning on buying this phone ;)

I paired successfully my Imate Jasjar with 2007 BMW x5 and it can transfer phonebook to the car, but I dont know why sometimes the phone turn off BT automatically. Another problem that sometimes the phone's name disappears in my car's paired list and I have to set up a new connection. I've installed the Jetwaremobile utility but nothing changed.

I have been using this utility for a year. I bought it on the 2nd day after installing. I love the fact that I can send only the numbers on my SIM card to the phone, which makes calling the numbers I use most a breeze rather than cycling through the 435+ contacts in my phone to find the right number. I highly recommend it.
