VZW Treo 650 has new updated ROM 1.03

There is a new ROM update firmware 1.03 for VZW Treo 650.

Read about it here from Palm's own website....

i don't think this rom will help with my bluetooth compatibility issues though. it doesn't include the patch that is required to avoid the dreaded reset loops

I don't get it. I pair my VZW Treo 650 fine with my BT/Assist module. Though, I think I have the -114 BT/Assist module.

Hmmm, no extra digits on your speed dial list? No pauses, etc. :dunno:

My 650 pairs fine as well.

How can I find out if I have the -114 BT/Assist module?

I bought the Treo650 today, spent the afternoon updating to 1.03, but still have the continuous resets. I'm not sure where to find my 'speed dial' list. I've looked under every option for 'Phone' and 'Contacts.'

In your "Phone application", you can add "favorites". Add your "favorite" contacts on the favorite buttons. Now, the only thing is that you should not have extra digits or odd symbols as part of the phone numbers. Start with 5-10 favorite contacts.

Good luck.

Find your Bluetooth module and take it out and there is a sticker on it that gives you the part#.

The BT module is in the left rear side cargo area.

Ok, I found the 'favorites' section, but I had none defined before I entered some tonight. I thought the reset problem came about because people's favorites had extra digits....? Since I had no pre-defined favorites, I couldn't possibly have extra digits... I'm a little confused......

Maybe you are getting a reset loop because you have NO phone numbers on your favorite section? :dunno:
