2005 Bluetooth ULF Upgrade
Hi gang,
I've been reading the archives and I'm a little confused. I have a 2005 4.8is with BT, and it doesn't connect to my Blackjack at all. I'm wondering if it would work better if I installed a newer ULF? My wife's Razr works fine (although the sound quality is a little lame). Would a newer ULF allow you to have more connection options? Looking for any thoughts, Scott |
Sounds to me like a different phone would be cheaper way to go than a new ULF.
Did you do a search??? http://www.xoutpost.com/search.php?searchid=1178794 |
Yes
I'd agree with that statement, but due to work email, we're limited on what choices we have, so I've been down that road as well. I also have to have an unlocked GSM phone so your average $99.00 phone deals don't apply to me usually.
Are the ULF's that expensive? |
e-mail Morristown. But check out that link. The ULF may not be the problem. I can't say but It may be the phone across the board.

You can get another Symbian phone with all the functions embeded
SonyEricsson, Nokia, Motorola, all have phones capable of sending reciving e-mails reading documents, WiFi, and so on |
I have the same problem. 2005 BMW X5 that I can't pair the Blackjack to. That being said, if I hold the 'talk' button on the steering wheel I don't get the beep I was accustomed to in my e46 3 series.
I haven't tried another phone, but the Blackjack pairs great in my 2006 Z4 M Roadster. I wonder if the ULFs are different or not... any thoughts? |
I went with the Q9m from Verizon because I read that the Samsung BT stack is not the standard WM one. I was considering the SCH-i760 but I'm happy with the Q9m. Verizon is the only provider that works reliably at my house and I didn't want a data plan so BB was out.
It pairs fine with my 2004 with 4th gen BT module. It supports phonebook transfer and roaming indicator. It runs WM 6 standard. I don't use the VZW multimedia screen. I added an extended battery, 8 GB miniSD card and I have a miniSD WiFi card. I'm using this "My Phone" skin: http://forums.sbsh.net/index.php?showtopic=21392 |
