Hey Mahmud
You have a complete system (Pairing button, BT Antenna, ULF), keep going It 's not that difficult... Have you searched the forums for PAIRING BLUETOOTH??? Yes, after pairing, you can leave phone in your pocket If you can't find something, we 're here. |
Well Thank you ! Now i know that i have every i need to pair my phone .. i have searched on the forums for Pairing Bluetooth , and i checked with the user manual , and the way i should pair the phone is by : 1. Have the phones bluetooth on and it should be in the ´´box´´ 2. press the ´´PAIRING´´button for one second then turn the key on position 1 3. Release the button and it should no be pairing .... but in my case the phone wont pair

Pairing BT

3. Search with phone for BT devices |
I had a 6310i and it paired just fine with my 2001 X5, 1st generation ULF module.
Here are the steps again, the phone does not need to be in the eject box.... 1. hold down the button to pair on the eject box 2. put key in and turn to 2nd position while still holding down the pairing button. 3. hold button for about 3 seconds 4. release button 5. It should now say "Pairing Bluetooth" or something like that. 6. Go to your phone and search for bluetooth 7. Once found, the phone will ask for your pin #, enter it in 8. You should now be paired |
Thank you everybody !
I will go out to my sweat X and Test this ... Hope it will work |
Hi again !
Tried it but it didn´t work :-( |

Do the lights on the nav unit flash on and off ?
Did you try to erase all pairing devices from ULF ? (Read the Telephone Owners Manual on how to) |
How can i remove pairing device? i did read the owners manual but no help from it .. The lights don´t flash but there is 3 lights right? the on in the middle is always on .
Do i maybe need to have new software on my phone ? right the phone have V 04.15 NPE-4 |
I hope noone minds, it is just plain info on how to activate BT pairing |
Hej!
Gjorde exakt som du har skrivit med ingenting händer det står fortfarande Activate Phone och inga lampor blinkar ... hope no one minds .. E5M1R tries to help me in Swedish |
1 Attachment(s)
Tryck och håll knappen på bilden markerat i rött
Attachment 23360 vrid tändningen till läge 1 vänta 5 sec släpp knappen som är markerad på bilden Nu ska lamporna blinka och det ska stå bluetooth pairing i nav displayen (Still hope noone minds, just trying to help in native language so no errors are made becouse of missunderstandings) |
Ska försöka nu .. TACK FÖR ALL HJÄLP
Thanks for all help this site is THE BEST !!!!!! |
Tried what you told me .. but it didnt work :-(
I even founded a link at youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_oXhzDdC_o that show how to do .. but it don´t helps me |
Just keep trying, that is the right way to do it, and if everything is ok with your ULF, it should work.
Does the phone work if you put it into the armrest holder? |
no it does not work .
I maybe will unplug the BT Unit then plug it back might help |
i had this problem when i first got my x5 it was a faulty bluetooth module in boot, have your dealer check it
|
No they haven´t , you think they can fix it? Cash?
|
I had a similar problem with my 6310i. One thing to check is that you don't have lots of SMS messages stored on your phone - if you do, dlete as many as you can. It's as if the phone cannot transfer the messages to the car quickly enough during the pairing process before it times out. Once I dleted a load of messages it paired reliably.
One other thing is that I did have a faulty centre cradle, but this thing with the messages is real - lots of similar reports of this problem in the UK. Hope it helps, Petert |
Thank You Petert !
of course it helps. But the main problem is that the whole process don´t ´´work ´´ i can´t Pair the phone .. i can´t get the BT to work ... But thanks allot ! |

This freaking me out ... i have test push the button key in pos1 method to much that my battery died 3 times today!.
|
E5M1R - I understand what you are saying: I suggested what I did because I had the same symptoms: all I could get the screen to say was 'Activate Phone', so it looked like the pairing process wasn't even starting.
If there are few messages stored on the phone and it still won't progress then I agree it is a different problem. PeterT |
Petert thank you for your help.
But i bought the Nokia phone just because i want to use to the car.. and i have maybe 3 messages i deleted them and tried but it was not much for help |
Mahmud,
Does your phone work if you put it into its place in alrmrest ? |
No does not. Just a few question : If the BT pairing don´t show up , is there any hope that the pairing will success ?
If my ULF is the 1th Generation is that to old and bad and its the mean reason why my BT dosen´t work? Or maybe one cable is not ´´really´´ connected ? |
Please correct me if i am wrong...
If you put your phone into the stock holder in armrest then it is connected to the system trough wires and not bluetooth so it should work withouth pairing it to the car (this is the way benz phones work) so my guess is that your phone module is broken or some cable is loose or something Did you try to reset the car by dissconecting the battery for a 30 min or so (i had some issues the other day after my batterie died half of the instrument cluster was not working, like RPM, Fuel, CheckControl and so on i called the dealer and he told me to do this to reset the car and it worked) Just cal your local BMW shop and ask for help, they will charge you 500skr/hour ($80) to check |
No .. The phone have never been paired with the car... neither the wire ´´way´´
|
I just unplugged the Bt and the ULF then plugged it back .. but it did not help at all ... if i call BMW and i don´t have warranty ,, will they change my ULF or just fix the problem ? will it cost much ?
Any one know ? |
