i picked up a cheap BT module from a friend, and the kit to install it, and bought the iphone cradle for my '02 x5.

now,

i got all the pairing instructions, and i couldnt get the gen1 iphone to pair, so i tried my partners nokia n80, which paired, and worked perfectly!

so i know its not the module or my install :)

so where to go with troubleshooting the iphone? its a gen1, with 2.0.1 firmware on it, the BT on the iphone says its paired to the car, but the car wont accept it.
