Upgraded to a new phone and now the phone book will not load
 

Upgraded my old Nokia 6103 (which worked great with the BMW ASSIST/Bluetooth module I have installed in the X) to a new Nokia 6301. Now, the X recognizes the new phone, but will not upload my phonebook. ALways gives the "phonebook empty" message now.

Any advice on how to fix this? I did a search, but came up with no solutions.

There isn't an easy solution, unfortunately all new phones pair not very well with older ULFs ...
Unless you upgrade to a 13th gen ULF, other possible solution I can think is a firmware upgrade for the Nokia

I figured out my problem. Just before I swapped phones, I downloaded all of my numbers from the phone memory to the SIM card. When I transferred the SIM card to the new phone, the phone was set up to read from the phone instead of the SIM card. I then transferred the numbers stored on the SIM card to the phone memory. Problem solved. I am now a very happy camper.
