Voice Recognition in 2005 X5 4.4 ??????
 

Just bought 2005 X5 4.4.....I can't get voice recognition to work and no one at BMW knows anything. Anybody have any suggestions? :dunno:

Did you install the stand alone VR module? On the 2005's it is not a standard item and must either be installed by you or your dealer (it's an easy DIY)

Assuming the VR module is installed, you need to hold in the button with an icon of a speaking face on the steering wheel for a few seconds to activate the VR functions.

Yes, very easy to install. Check the link I posted above for installation guidance.

As for where to order it, good places to get them on-line is Crevier BMW, Pacific BMW or Circle BMW.
