Looking for mic and SES connection in 2005 X5

I've install BT in my '03 530 without a problem. Now I am atempting it in my '05 X5 and am having problems locating the mic connection. I've removed the overhead console but only find one loose connection which is white and far too wide to be used in the mic. I have attached some pics. Anyone have any thoughts? thx

You sure you don't already have it? My 2005 (build 05/05) came with the Premium Package, just like yours. Part of the Prem Pkg included "BMW Assist", which also includes BT, speakerphone/mic, etc.

Canadian cars do not have this included with the Premium Package. I did have to install the mic in the overhead console and the BT unit in the back. Just can't find the mic connection.

Oh, sorry. That is a shame. Sounds like you know what you are doing with it, though. Good luck!

To make matters more difficult, I can not locate the plug for the SES jumper plug in the rear. I don't have NAV or a CD Changer so it should be right there!

I am making some progress. I determined that I don't need the SES Jumper plug (after buying one at $27 CDN!). As for the mic connection, I have asked my dealer and they indicated that the connection should be there, yet in some cases they have had to drop the headliner to find it! I have a call into them now to find out how we should proceed. Hopefully in will be under warranty as the connection should be there or goodwill considering I have bought a 530 and X5 from the dealership inside of 9 months!

Well I took it to the dealership and they found the mic connection way up in the headliner! Finally, everything works! Even better was the dealership did not charge me to find the mic connection!
