Replacing Broken Bluetooth TCU

I have a malfunctioning TCU that I'm swapping with the exact same part from a salvaged vehicle.

I'm not able to pair (no problem doing this in the past, i know the routine) wondering if there is additional coding that needs to happen with intervention from the dealer.

I'll have to admit that I have no idea if the replacement part is in perfect working order since it has been sitting in a salvage yard or could have found the same fate as my malfunctioning one before the car was salvaged. I have a 90 day warranty so I'm not at risk here. If it doesn't work, I'll bring it back.

Thanks

No coding is necessary to pair. It should pair to a phone the moment you install it in your car.

Is it the exact same part number or newer? If you got a TCU from a 2004 model year car, it will not have Bluetooth.

exact same model number. I had the *.pdf document with all the generation information with me when I got the part. Turned out it was the same part number as my 2005 MY module. I'm gonna give one more try tomorrow...otherwise she's going back. I paid $150 for it....it might be a better move just to get the refurbed ones from Tischer for $375.
