questions:
okay, so I'm looking at getting a new phone, one with bluetooth. I've got a 2002 X5 3.0, what would I need to get? Would it be a difficult install? Then, does anyone have any experience with Centenial Wireless or Cingular? I currently have verizon, but I'm not thrilled with their phones and how they disable certain features on their phones. Just wondered if anyone had any suggestions for other carriers.

Contact Randy at http://eiskits.com (phone 404-795-2185) about a Bluetooth retrofit kit for your 2002 X5, he should be able to set you up with everything you need. Tell him you were referred by X5world ;)
Regarding switching cellular carriers, GSM carriers such as Cingular and T-Mobile definately seem to have a much broader set of phones with Bluetooth. I have Cingular and am very pleased with the service. Coverage can be somewhat region specific, though, so you might want to check on http://www.howardforums.com to see if there are recommendations for a good carrier in your area. :goodluck: |
thanks a lot for the help - I'm always amazed at how many forums there are out there!
