Trying to Retrofit a BT system on my e53, DSP amp?/?/?
Ok so I am gathering pieces for my next project, retro fitting my 2006 e53 with a Bluetooth system. I am the antenna, mic, SES, and the ULF is being ordered. My question is do I need a DSP amp? and what exactly is this??? I dont have navigation... and I dont have the DSP button on my radio player. I understand if I have a 02-06 it is not required... but not having the button makes me question that. Do I need to order one? :dunno:
thank you |
The DSP amp is unrelated to Bluetooth. That is an audio system component. So, no worries. Here is a post with consolidated parts lists. Consolidated Bluetooth ULF and TCU Parts Lists…
Based on your model year, you probably do not need the SES jumper. I think that wiring was discontinued in 2002 or so. You will want to order the eject box. |
Awesome, thanks for your help. So I have no nav, no BT, MD no subwoofer. I really want to get all these up and running one fun project after another... So I will need a dsp amp if I am going to install the factory subwoofer? And what is the difficulty of the subwoofer project.
