Android 4.0.x and BMW Bluetooth
I'm new to the BMW Bluetooth systems as my previous ride an 09, X3 didn't have it, so I installed Parrot MKi9200 & UNIKA interface. Now I'm in a '09 X5 with Bluetooth as part of the iDrive, I've found that for some reason the "+" sign in front of the numbers in my phones contacts doesn't get transferred to the iDrives phone book. I use the + sign as I travel internationally a fair bit.
I seem to remember that the BMW sales reps iPhone worked and transferred the + sign when he demonstrated the car to me. Has anyone else had this issue and found a work around or fix? |

There are a number of issues with the latest BMWs and android 4.
I have raised these with BMW in Australia here, but they are simply not interested in providing software updates on models they have already sold. I'm not sure if BMW are any better in other markets but in Australia once you buy the car there are no more software updates for idrive or bluetooth support. Sent from my Galaxy S3 |
