AdvancedAutovations;Are they out of business?

I ordered a bluetooth kit for my '02 X5 on Nov 29.Since then nothing.... They don't reply to my e-mails; cannot contact them by phone  (full mailbox). Seems that others had similar problems. Any suggestions????

Contact the company that your credit card is from, let them know the deal didn't go through, and they'll refund it. ...Happened when mom's crockpot didn't go through.

They might as well be with their current reputation. I was lucky, I got mine from them.

same problem here for a TV on Nav video in motion module...

Anyone has any input??? :dunno:

UCrewX5 01-02-2006 11:43 AM

I really wish I could assist. Unfortunately I have been unable to reach Parag for several months now. Not sure what happened to him, but I hope everything is OK.

chadbrue 01-02-2006 01:51 PM

I ordered mine on Nov. 25th and didn't recieve anything from them for almost 3 weeks until I sent them an email on the Dec 13th asking about my order (they had already charged my credit card on Nov 26th). The very next day I received an overnight package with my order that was shipped on Dec 13th. I didn't pay for overnight shipping, so they obviously didn't send it until after receiving my email.

I ran into several problems while installing it on Dec 14th (they sent the wrong cables and wrong cradle for an '01 X5). My order reciept clearly shows the right X5 model, but the packing slip does not. I have now sent 6 emails to them, including Parag Garg without any responses. Since I cannot use the system they sent me, I guess I'm out $700 unless someone can help me locate the right cradle and cables.

If I do not hear back from someone at AdvancedAutovations.com/TVonNAV.com/Airwave Communications soon, I will recommend xoutpost.com remove all references to this company in their forums/articles...because it was this site that recommended me to them in the first place. I'm not blaming xoutpost.com - I just don't want someone else to experience these same problems because they read the "good" reviews of this company on xoutpost.com.

Any advice/suggestions are welcome!

I sent several emails to Parag which went unanswered. I ordered my video module from EAS but I don't have it yet. I'll post a review once I get it installed.

dlmerchant 01-02-2006 09:29 PM

Well, I was very disheartened to see your post. I just ordered a Bluetooth kit for my X5 from Advanced Autovations on 12/28/05. They immediately billed my credit card, but they did not respond to my email asking for a tracking number. Let's keep each other posted on our progress.

I bought my OEM Bluetooth retofit kit from EIS and was pleased with their price, service and fast delivery. Very professional, and very knowledgeable. I recommend them highly.

Randy@EIS 01-03-2006 02:36 PM

Thanks for the kudos JEK! Chadbrue - if you end up stuck with your kit give us a call and we will try to get you the parts you need - we may even be able to do a swap of some sort depending on the pieces.

Now that's customer service

chadbrue 01-03-2006 08:02 PM

Randy,

I was going to give Parag a few more days before contacting you to see if you could help me...you beat me to it! I agree with SuperGreg..."now that's customer service!"

I will send you a private message with my "problems" to see if you can supply me with the missing/wrong parts.

I appreciate your help.

Still Waiting For A Refund!!!

I actually got the tvon nav product the problem was that they charged me for the tv antenna amplifiers and never sent them to me because they are not compatible with the X5, that's one. Second the reverse camera wasn't working I was sent a second one which was also broken, I decided to return both and get a refund, well, it's been 3 months and I'm still waiting for my $400 dollars, to say the least. I definitely agree with removing all references of tv on nav from this forum, that won't help those of us who already have issues, but at least it will prevent anyone else from getting scamed!!! My .02!!!

ROMEO 01-04-2006 08:26 PM

Get it from EIS and you will be fine

chadbrue 01-04-2006 09:30 PM

ROMEO - I've been working with EIS to help solve my problems from my previous post (the problems that are the fault of Advanced Autovations) and Randy@EIS has been extrememly helpful. I recommend contacting him to get the bluetooth kit and you won't get screwed. I didn't even purchase anything from him...yet...and he has already sent me 3-4 emails trying to help me get this working. He has all my business in the future. Great customer service!

ROMEO 01-04-2006 11:48 PM

Thanks guys. I appreciate your feedback.

FYI, TVonNav has been removed from the sponsor list.

I placed an order with Advanced Autovations on 12/28 for a Bluetooth kit for FedEx 2-day delivery. They billed my card the very next day, but never shipped any equipment. They also failed to respond to any of my email correspondence, and they do not answer their phone. In addition, their VoiceMail system is full and is not accepting any new messages. I have sent an email indicating that I wish to cancel my order, and request a credit be posted to my account. I have also instructed the credit card company to reverse the charges, and would suggest that anyone else in my situation do the same.

On a brighter note, I bought a kit for EIS this week, and received it in the mail 2-days after ordering. I was able to call EIS and get a live person on the phone right away. Randy was extremely helpful, and the kit works well in my 2001 X5.

Glad to hear that Randy took good care of you

Well it seems that TVonNAV and AA are the same company and I have the same problems like all of you in getting my paid shiment and no answer...

Can anyone recommend another good vendor/product for:

1- TV in motion lead/module

2- AV connection cables for the OEM TV Tuner

Any help would be appreciated....

I believe the NavTV has a similar TV-in-motion module and cables. http://navtv.com. They may not sell directly to end-users but should be able to point you to a distributor/authorized agent.

georgeM12 01-09-2006 03:52 PM

Thanks for the support and the advice.
I've already contacted my credit card company asking them to reverse the charges from AdvancedAutovations.

I'll contact EIS to order the kit.

cheers

Hi to everyone. I am so disappointed with the service from Parag from TVonNAV since I placed an order on 16Dec05 for camera, video-in-motion and audio/video harness. I order the same items in Mar2005 and the service then was ABSOLUTELY GREAT!! (Mr Parag even called me in Melbourne to discuss my installation a number of times.) I am sad to say that after numerous emails, calls ..... no response this time. I will give 2 more weeks before I proceed to cancellation.
