IOS 6 - Siri no longer works
 

Siri on my iPhone 4S worked great on my 2003 X5 UNTIL iOS 6. Seems Apple killed Siri working through the older Bluetooth modules with the new iOS. Only other mention I've found on this is here:

Anyone else seeing the same?

yep. i just updated to iOS6 and can no longer use siri through the X5 speakers when trying to call or txt someone. Tried to roll back to iOS5.1 with no luck............i hate it!!

Yea. It's pretty bad that they shut down something that was working fine.

Rumblings in the intrawebs are saying that they did it to drive adoption of their new car manufacturing interlock - they are pushing Siri to be the in car interface for several car manufacturers... BMW included. Siri, as it worked before, is only partially functional compared to what they've outlined future interaction to be. So, I guess they think we, as consumers, would be confused.
