Not pairing

I have a 03 x5. I assume the bt is fully installed becouse it has the bt activation button on the steering wheel. I fallowed the directions in my owners manual but it wont work. First question. How to i double check to make sure that bt is really installed. Second if it is were should my path of trouble shooting go? Thank you for your help.

open the left cover in the trunk area, where the CD changer would be, and see if BT unit is fitted... or take a pic, we can tell you if it is there

A 2003 X5 would be pre-wired for phone or Bluetooth. But, it would not typically have Bluetooth unless a previous owner installed it as a retrofit. If you push the R/T button on the steering wheel or the telephone button on the MID, does the phone option appear on your screen. Or, if you have navigation, do you have navigation, do you have a TELEPHONE option on the main menu. If not, then you do not have Bluetooth installed.

I do not have navagaition. When i hit the r/t button nothing changes on my screens. I looked at the back cover and i only saw a amp plugged in. I took a pic. Ill try to put it up soon. How do i get a bt devise to make my car bt work?

No mate, all cars have the MFSW regardless of whether you have the phone or not, you probably have pre-wire but not modules.
