Bluetooth activation question
 

Just got a 04 X5 4.4i and I have confirm there is a BT module in the trunk.
I have the INPA/NCS

Question:
1)What options should I check to confirm is AKTIV (active)
2)What is the peering process?

There are a number of articles for Bluetooth here - http://www.xoutpost.com/bluetooth.php

Note that most 2004's came with a module that did not actually allow the Bluetooth to operate. So unless someone swapped out your module at some point, it's probable that it's not going to work.

Pairing a BT phone with a TCU/Assist module
1. Turn the car off (key position 0)
2. Turn the car on (key position 1)
3. The TCU enters pairing mode for about 2 minutes
4. Set your mobile phone to look for BT devices
5. When your phone finds the car, select it, and then it will prompt you for the Bluetooth passkey
6. After you enter the BT passkey and the car accepts it, pairing is complete
