DC Area Used Dealer - EEE Auto Sales
Bought my X5 from EEE Auto Sales in Sterling
EEE OF TYSONS - Serving Vienna, VA They also have locations in Tyson's Corner, Fairfax, etc spread around the DC area. The sales staff in Sterling was not as pushy as the Fairfax location, willing to do what they needed to do to secure the deal, and had been accommodating with the issues I've had. --Thus ends the positive side of this review-- The vehicle I purchased, '06 X5 with 62k miles on it, had a couple issues, documented and agreed to have fixed at the dealerships' expense, along with a 30-day warranty. Noted issues: 1) Window regulator on front passenger door was off-track, window would not close without a whole lot of prying and finessing the window onto the proper track. Issue closed on a positive note, window works fine now. 2) Arm rests on both front doors - leather peeling back, exposing foam/frame underneath - fixed by an upholsterer, sorta half-assed job, but at least the leather isn't popping off the frame anymore. 3) Misc. chips/scuffs in the paint, needs a good wash, claybar, rinse, dry, buff, seal, glaze, wax - basically, full exterior detail job - not even a half-assed job here, guy on staff basically hosed it down and said "okay, all done!" Have since washed and dried properly, waiting for a good overcast day to clay, buff, seal, glaze, and wax on my own time and at my own expense... 4) Tank was at 1/4 - 21 gal. premium gas - still pending - still pending 4 weeks on I'm now -- 30 days since I purchased the vehicle, have had it available to me for a grand total of - 10 of those days (including today), Last Friday, I handed the X5 over to them, noting I needed it back for a service appointment Saturday morning. They handed the vehicle over to a 3rd party to fix, the upholsterer put 130 miles on the vehicle, used almost the entire half-tank of gas I had at the time, and did not fix the upholstery (they said it will take multiple days to fix, somehow?) - and yesterday, the upholsterer finally got around to swinging by, re-glued the arm rest leathers back to the frame, not much else could be done unless new leathers were purchased (fat chance!) I took the X to a BMW dealership to have the transmission flashed to hopefully fix the lurching at low speed issue I'd noted on one of the days I was actually able to drive the vehicle - when I called EEE from the BMW dealership to have them authorize payment for the flash ($125), EEE's sales manager (Ramin), told me they will not pay for "upgrades" to the vehicle. When I let him know this was an issue that needed fixed under their written warranty, he dismissed it as not his problem. I'm assuming at this point that anything I don't have in writing will be considered "an upgrade", and not to expect any accommodation in getting my vehicle fixed, so let this serve as a warning to anyone looking for an X in the DC area - this place gets 1 star out of 4 from me, and that only because they've got a pretty good choice of vehicles...
