Thumbs up Inskip BMW, Warwick, RI

Another fine service experience at Inskip BMW.

Just a note to give major props to Inskip BMW in Warwick, Rhode Island, and to my Service Advisor, Wesley Purks, for the excellent service I have consistently received.

I recently had Inspection I completed at 34,537 miles (12/03 build date), and once again, I was extremely pleased with the quality of the work performed and the great customer service received. Wes and the folks I have dealt with have always been very courteous, conscientious, and professional, and very concerned with getting the job done right -- to the customer's satisfaction -- the first time. They listen.

In addition to the usual Inspection I service items, the fine folks at Inskip repaired an annoying rattle coming from the rear by cleaning and lubricating the contact surface of the rear roller blind assembly (cargo cover) and replacing the rear hatch stop pads. Rattle fixed. (One of the service techs even took a ride with me so that I could let him hear it.) The Roundel (trunk emblem) on my rear hatch had fallen off, and the driver's door cavity seal had developed a crack, and both were replaced under warranty.

All and all, another excellent service experience from Wes Purks and Inskip BMW.

Although I did not purchase my X5 at Inskip, they have serviced my vehicle from the outset, over the past two years. I've had the DME reprogrammed at least a couple of times, and the folding mirrors and were replaced under warranty (resolving the "mirrors fold-in then fold-out again" gremlin). I believe there were recalls (?) dealing with the O2 sensor (?) and my (pre-chrome ringed) instrument cluster that were both likewise replaced under warranty. The "throttle lag/surge" and "tranny acceleration/surge" issues were successfully resolved early on via DME reprogramming and have not recurred. I also have Inskip change the oil and filter every 7,500 miles.

My Service Advisor also always provides with a free loaner car, which is quite a nice gesture, and one that I most sincerely appreciate, particularly considering the fact that I purchased my X5 elsewhere. Thanks, Wes.

As a very satisfied customer, I certainly have no equivocation whatsoever about highly recommending the service at Inskip BMW.

Ken

Hey Ken.....

I am surprised at you write up. Between myself and my friend and his X5 were or have been extreamly disatisfied with thier service. In fact. His tranny lgith came on...he went in there had the code read they qouted him $6500 on the spot and that the tranny was fried. He got a second opinion and it was $800 for a bad sensor that had something to do with monitoring the temp of the fluid. I went in for a cam sensor and was told that I needed an emissions pump that was making the service light come on...I checked in with German Motors on North Main in Providence and they have no idea that service tech is talking about.....I went from a potential bil for $1600 to $325. If your in warrenty then use Inskip. If your out and still want to put your kids through college, go somewhere else....oh and the service writters are on commision there as well.
